Westridge is blessed with several opportunities for you to be involved with. Our congregation is the most loving and caring group of people. Come join us and experience God’s love: belong, believe and become.
Choir and music is a vital part of who we are. Susan Bowers is a phenomenal leader having taught music in school. She leads us in worship from the piano with a blended style; meaning that we sing the old hymns, throw in some Gaither songs and dash in new songs too. We have people who play instruments for offertory and sing specials during the service too.
Children’s ministry is keen also for Westridge. We see the value of raising our kids to know morals and values as important for the future community. We have a Sunday school class just for their age from nursery to 6th
grade.
Discipleship is important in life. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, “Go and sin no more.” Meaning that once we repent of our sins, we need to walk in step with Holy Spirit and follow his leading. We have several ways to encourage you in your step with Christ. We have a Sunday school class for adults, a Bible study led by pastor on Wednesday nights and several small group studies meeting in homes.
Some of our ladies have a special ministry of quilting. They sew from September to May making baby quilts for the Pregnancy Help Center of Fort Worth as well as other projects. They also sponsor a baby shower for the center.
COMPASSIONATE MINISTRIES
Compassion is very much a deep part of Westridge Nazarene. We help with a local food bank located in our nearby Western Hills High School. We create hygiene kits for a local human trafficking shelter to give away to those in need. We collect winter coats for a ministry center in Cactus, TX to give away to legal immigrants, many who have sought asylum in the USA. We also learn about missions abroad in the Church of the Nazarene.
